He is able to match the classes and content effortlessly to my level. I feel blessed to have found him."
Online Piano Lessons for Adults
Learning the piano as an adult should be enjoyable, inspiring, and entirely suited to your goals.
My online piano lessons for adults are built around the idea that every aspect of music is connected. In each piece we explore, we uncover its musical “ingredients” — patterns, harmony, technique, and expression — and link them to the wider elements of music. This approach helps you develop real understanding, confidence, and the freedom to play music you genuinely love.
These lessons are ideal for complete beginners, adults returning to the piano after many years, and experienced players who want to refine their technique or deepen their musicianship.

FAQs
How Long Does It Take to Play Simple Songs?
You can play simple, recognisable melodies within a few weeks of starting lessons. Within a few months, you’ll play more challenging music with both hands. Most adult beginners develop basic skills within 3-6 months of consistent practice. The timeline depends on your goals, practice frequency, and commitment.
Am I Too Old to Learn Piano?
Absolutely not. It’s never too late to learn piano. Research shows that adults of all ages—including those in their 60s, 70s, and 80s—can learn piano and gain significant cognitive and emotional benefits. Your brain maintains its ability to learn throughout life through neuroplasticity, which is your brain’s ability to form new connections.
Learning piano at any age stimulates this process and keeps your brain active and healthy.
When and how often are lessons?
Lessons take place on the agreed day and time, reserved exclusively for the student. Please note that lessons may not follow local school term dates.
Between 1 September 2025 and 30 July 2026, students are offered 42 lessons, including six non-teaching weeks (which may be split across separate days).
What about piano practice at home?
Daily practice on a piano or keyboard is essential.
Parents and adult students are responsible for ensuring all assigned work is completed. If a student consistently arrives unprepared, the teacher may pause or terminate tuition.
How do online lessons work?
My online piano lessons are delivered via RockOutLoud
Students may enter a virtual waiting room if the teacher is finishing another lesson.
